This is an insurance policy that protects you with periodic payments if you are unable to work due to illness or disability.
Starting from January 1, 2024, you as a freelancer through YoungOnes are also insured for disability.
However, there are some important conditions:
- To qualify for the insurence you must have completed a minimum of 10 assignments through YoungOnes in the 26 weeks prior to the accident or onset of illness.
- The maximum daily benefit is €30 for a maximum duration of 2 years. For additional coverage above this amount, you need to purchase supplementary insurance yourself.
- The maximum benefit is based on your average daily earnings.
What do you need to do for this?
You don't need to do anything to activate the insurance. You are automatically insured when you complete a job through the platform. If you want to file a claim or review the insurance terms, you need to create an account with Onsi.
