AOV stands for arbeidsongeschiktheidsverzekering (disability insurance). Through Onsi, there is a scheme for incapacity for work following a work accident or subsequent illness.
Important conditions:
You have completed at least 10 gigs via YoungOnes in the 26 weeks prior to the accident or the start of the illness;
You receive a maximum of €50 per day (according to the policy) for a maximum of 2 years;
The amount of the benefit depends on your average earnings via YoungOnes;
The situation must fall within the policy terms (e.g., incapacity for work after an accident during a gig).
The scheme via Onsi is a basic safety net. If you want broader or higher coverage (e.g., also if you fall ill outside of YoungOnes), you must take out additional AOV yourself with an insurer.
