You are allowed to work via YoungOnes from 18 years old. There is no maximum age limit associated with our platform.
Since February 22, 2022, we no longer allow people under 18. The reason for this is that young people under 18 are "legally incapable" according to the law. This means that you can only work as a freelancer if you have permission from your parents or guardian. There are also rules associated with working hours and rest periods for those under 18, and freelancing comes with quite a few responsibilities. Once you turn 18, you can complete the in-app onboarding and get to work through the platform.
Even though you can't freelance through YoungOnes, as a 16- or 17-year-old, the law allows you to freelance for yourself. You can read more about it here.
Sidenote: If your account has already been verified by us, and you already have a VAT ID, you can simply continue to work through the platform. Just make sure you always ask your parents' or guardian's permission.
